What is an unfilled gap?
When a stock opens away from its previous close, it leaves a price range that no trade has taken place in. The gap is said to be "filled" the first time price trades back through the level it jumped from — for a gap up, a session whose low reaches back down to the old close; for a gap down, a session whose high reaches back up to it. Until that happens the gap is open, and this screen lists the companies that currently have one.
How do I read the Left an unfilled gap (5%+ in the last week) (UK) screen?
The default is a gap of at least 5% opened in the last five sessions, largest first, with the level that would close it and how far price sits from that level today. Two things are worth knowing about this list. Gaps close far more often than not and far sooner than folklore suggests: across our catalog, of the gaps of 2% or more that have closed, the median took two sessions, and about a third never survived the session that opened them. And a gap staying open is a fact about where trades have happened, not a force pulling price back — there is no rule that a gap must be filled. Nothing here is advice.

Data: daily-close price history, recomputed nightly. Every figure is shown with its as-of date on the company page; a company without enough price history for this indicator is excluded, never estimated.
2 covered companies were not evaluated for this screen because their price series end on or before an earlier session (AEP.L, MEGP.L), at least 0 trading sessions behind the null session the rest of the catalog carries. A technical signal is a claim about the present, so it is not asserted from a series that stops before it. Those companies keep the readings they have on their own page, with the as-of date they were computed from.
