A PS5 Pro now lists at $899.99 in the US and an Xbox Series X at $799.99, the highest list prices these consoles have had. But the 60GB PlayStation 3 cost $599 in 2006, about $1,002 in today's money, and the 3DO was reported at $699.99 in 1993, about $1,600 today. What is new: these consoles got pricier as they aged. The Xbox Series X costs about 24% more than at its 2020 launch, even after inflation.
