What is a trendless, choppy stock (low ADX)?
The Average Directional Index (ADX) is Wilder's 14-day 0–100 gauge of trend strength. A low ADX — below about 20 — means there is no strong trend in either direction: the stock is chopping sideways within a range rather than trending up or down. This screen looks only at ADX strength, regardless of direction.
